Shai Avidan (who presented the video) is now a Senior Research Scientist at Adobe. I was blown away by this as were many other people and this lead to to the technology being developed to the create the now famous Content aware fill. See a great tutorial from Russell Preston Brown. But hold the Phone, there appears to be a new kid in town. We have heard of sharpening before, but have you heard of deconvolution sharpening? I had and it seemed liked science fiction to me, which lead me to play several practical jokes on unsuspecting audiences across Australia and New Zealand using a technique of slowly enlarging a smart object layer with the image size panel.

But all that silliness aside how many times have you been asked as a Photoshop Professional to enhance an image more than is possible? I think it comes from TV and movie clips as shown on ” Lets Enhance” Lets vector in on the clip below and look at section A6.

Thats awesome. But just recently at Adobe Max in LA A new technology was sneaked out called de-blurring. Presented by Jue Wang.

Again I was blown away, I think this time I learnt my lesson. Nothing is impossible with Photoshop and the future is very bright indeed with Photoshop. I look forward to more magic in the future.

If you ever have to do any repetitive tasks for images then you should create an action for it. In this episode we create an action that will build out, various sizes of application icons for use in Air Apps IOS Apps and even Android applications. We then save the Action out as a droplet. all you need to do then is drop your original artwork on it and magic, there are all of your icons. Thanks to the power of Photoshop.

In this space aged episode of Creative Sweet TV, we use a series of images and stitch them together in a fantastic time lapse using Photoshop CS5 Extended. Thanks to the images from my Brother James from www.deepspaceplace.com. Unfortunately he set the white balance on Auto and it needed to be fixed. Not as easy as you would think! We use the color Blend mode and the blend if sliders to fix it up. But we also keep the subtle color of the planets.

Not for the faint of heart. This advanced interactive lesson in InDesign CS5 covers many of the interactive features of CS5. The Buttons panel, Animation, Timing, and Mult-istate Objects. We get them all working together to make a roll down menu that triggers a multi-state object. This could be very useful for many different projects with a little imagination and creativity. A very special guest Brian Chau from Adobe, shows us exactly how to use Flash CS5 to publish directly to an Android 2.2 device. We use Brian’s very own HTC Desire. Sometimes when you get a PDF, you need to extensively edit the content. Or even import it back into InDesign for layout! You can save the PDF file as a Word Document or even Excel Document for immediate and swift importation . Its a very useful new feature of Adobe Acrobat X. This is the first look CSTV has had at Acrobat X and we explore a few of the other new things, but by no means all of them. Its so annoying when you see an InDesign document that has been put together with tabs and spaces all over the place. Common everyone lets get the tabs right and then put them into paragraph styles as well. Its not that hard when you see how to use the tab ruler. We do Right indent tabs, leaders and indent to here as well. What an awesome episode. InDesign CS5 has a whole bunch of new interactive features. We take a close look at how to use the multi-state objects to create a simple image gallery. We use Adobe Bridge to drage and drop or place images, we also use the new corner effects. But more importantly than that we use the ugliest arrow heads ever and copy and paste them from Illustrator cs5 to create buttons that trigger out gallery!

2. Layer Style defaults.
If you want to set any default settings for layers styles, for example the drop shadow change you setting and press the Make Default button at the bottom. ITS NEW!

3. Resize Brush Dynamically.
To resize your brush Dynamically in Photoshop firstly select your brush. hold down the control + alt keys. Click and drag to the right to make the brush larger and click and drag to the left to make it smaller.

4. Clipping Groups.
To use a layer as a transparency mask, you can form a clipping group. Hold down your alt key when you hover over the line in between two layers and click. The top layer will then move to the right and use the transparency from the layer underneath it in the layers stack.

5. Record Document History.
If you find it hard to remember what you have done in a Photoshop you can record the history of the file. Go to the preferences inside Photoshop at the base of the first screen. You can record just the sessions only this is great for recording time spent on a project. A concise report will record all you actions this is a great way remembering techniques used.

Adobe Illustrator has some fantastic vector drawing tools, great for creating repeated patterns for use on fabrics clothing and any design work. However if you you make the repeat too large the files can become quite cumbersome and the file sizes are massive. Learn how to create the most efficient, flexible Illustrator artwork . This is a whole host of techniques used for portrait retouching. Get smooth flawless skin, remove wrinkles and brighten eyes. Whilst the tutorial is very fast moving many of the techniques can be used inn more detail to get some fantastic results. Its all non destructive and uses many layers. Thats why Mike is the best Photoshop User ever! Even he he does say so himself.
