Interactive InDesign PDF & SWF (No. 57)

InDesign has been able to create fantastic interactive PDF for ages with rollover buttons and actions. Now we can take it a step further with transitions and an improved UI. With InDesign CS4 we can now export directly to interactive SWF and include an interactive page curl with no coding whatsoever. We also discover that you can now export an InDEsign document to an XFL format which means we can open our InDEsign documents in Flash CS4.

Fantastic. Could you show us how to achieve the show/hide effect of rolling over the surfboard to display hidden info? I’ve been creating this kind of interactivity using earlier versions of Indesign and exporting to pdf, but to be able to incorporate some of this functionality in a swf is great.

Hi! Excellent video!!! But I’m having problems with the swf, when I open it form acrobat the margins are all wrong and the zoom doesn’t work it just make the work area bigger. I’ve already asked you this on twitter but I really need to someone to explain me what’s going on. Thanks a lot!!
